Dan Tully

Dan started his fishing journey focusing on sea fishing and taking part in fishing sea competitions. Eventually he moved on to fishing for Carp but it wasn’t until he was introduced to fishing Winton’s that he found out about Catfishing. He spent time targeting the Cats at Winton’s. Dan had a period of time where he wasn’t fishing due to personal commitments but eventually the bug came back and he started travelling across the country to different lakes landing some amazing fish from some stunning venues. He also ventured to other countries including France and Thailand.

David Cordaroy

David has been Catting and supporting Catfish Anglers since the mid 80’s having started his catfishing with the late Bob Baldock. He now lives in a lovely village of Xerta on the banks of the Ebro which has been home for 17 years. He classes himself as an all round angler and is happy to fish from boat or bank and from anything from Bleak to Tuna.

Hannah Truscott

Hannah has been fishing since she was six years old and already has an impressive set of skills. She has been fishing exclusively for Catfish for the past three years. 

Kelly Laws

Kelly Laws lives in Kent with her husband and five grown up children. Her eldest son, John has Downs Syndrome and Brugada Syndrome and disabled inclusion is something she is very passionate about, seeing swims and walkways able to take wheelchairs. She is also passionate encouraging more women into the sport, arranging exclusive Ladies Events for those new to the sport.

Like most Cat anglers, Kelly started focusing on other species, like carp before moving on to Pike and even Sailfish. Her main focus for some years has been catfish. 2021 was a great year for Kelly. She smashed her PB twice in one week. At Oak Lakes she caught a 121lb Cat followed by Moby weighing in at 128lb from Crow Green, both Essex waters. 

Matthew Alexander

Matt started fishing when he was Eight on his local river Thames in Oxford and grow into an accomplished all round big fish angler catching double figure Tench and Bream from the Tring complex, double figure Zander, 30lb Carp and 20 lb Pike from different venues around Oxfordshire before moving to France in 2000.

Since then he has fished for Silurus glanis on the rivers, mainly boat fishing with a fair amount of success catching many hundred pound plus fish over the years. With 7 Silure over 200lb, at the time of writing, to a massive 222lb PB!

He also fishes even farther afield, often in the South American jungle rivers for the big catfish that live there.

Michael Pickard

Fishing from the age of Four, Michael progressed from Match Fishing to Carp and then Pike. He became interested in Catfish in the early 90’s when he caught his first Cat from Lyn y gors in Anglesey. Since then he has fished all of the Yorkshire waters, where he is based, slowly upping his PB’s along the way. Michael has also fished in Spain and France. His current PB’s are UK 78lb 08, France 126lb 04 and Spain 187lb. 

 

Phil Aylett

Phil is from Nottingham and has been Catfishing for around 40 years, catching Cats to over 100lb in England, 144lb in France and 208lb in Spain

Ryan Dennison

Ryan lives in Wiltshire, He started his fishing journey by targeting Carp at the age of 11. He started fishing for Catfish in 2015 and has never looked back. Ryan says that he has met some fantastic people and made some good friends on his Cat journey. He is happiest on the bank.

Tony Corbett

Tony joined CatMaster in 2015 and is one of our big fish specialists, having landed several UK 100lb plus Cats including the record of largest brace of UK fish ever caught at 241lb. Tony now targets individual fish and rarely photographs or weighs anything under 80lb. He also has lots of experience in France catching Cats over 100lb mark from several lakes and rivers. Tony’s favourite method is live baiting – including tie-off methods and his current PB’s are UK 122lb, France 151lb and Spain 196lb.
